what this experience is...

this is a creative portrait session that blends reflective guidance, presence, and grounded support with artistic photography. it's not therapy, but it's designed to help you feel seen, heard, and empowered during your time in front of the camera.

01.

Connect and book

Reach out via the form or the booking link. This first step isn't just logistics- it starts the process of showing up intentionally for yourself.

02.

reflection and intake

Before we meet for the session, you'll complete a thoughtful questionnaire designed to help you reflect what you what to express and reclaim. Your answers shape the symbolism, tone, and emotional arc of your shoot so the session feels intentional, not performative.

03.

your session

On the day of your session, we start with conversation and grounding so you can settle into the space and yourself. I offer clear direction and gentle prompts as we move through the shoot, allowing you to stay present, rather than perform.

04.

Gallery delivery and keepsakes

Afterward, I craft your images with intention, and deliver them via a link in an email with a password and download code. Prints, wall art, and albums are available so your experience continues beyond the session.

FAQ

This is my first photoshoot and I’m kind of nervous.

That's ok! I tend to pick up on that and will simply ask you to tell me a story about something or someone you love. It's as easy as that!

What should I wear?

What you wear should always reflect your comfort and your sense of self. The guidelines below exist to support the style of each session, not to restrict you.

Birth Photography -
There are no wardrobe expectations. You choose whatever you feel most comfortable laboring and being photographed in. This may be a hospital gown, your own clothing, or nothing at all. Your comfort and autonomy come first.

Boudoir -
Boudoir looks different for everyone. You may choose anything from a cozy sweater or robe, to lingerie, to full nudity. There is no “right” level of coverage. The only requirement is that it feels aligned with you.

Soul Sessions -
Soul Sessions have a more intentional, ethereal aesthetic.
Women are encouraged to wear flowing or ethereal dresses.
Men are encouraged to wear slacks and a well-fitted sweater or similarly elevated attire.

Specific guidance may be offered after booking to support the overall visual tone of the session.

All Other Sessions -
Wardrobe guidance for all other types of photography will be discussed after booking to ensure it fits the session’s purpose and style.

How many pictures will I receive?

It depends on the type of event, how many outfits you've decided on, locations we shoot at, and poses you know! I typically overshoot and have lots of photographs to go through!

The type of photography I need isn't listed.

Contact me! I do most photography, though I only have a specifically curated portfolio.

How does on-call birth photography work?

When you book on-call birth photography, I reserve a window of time surrounding your due date to be available for your birth. This on-call period typically begins around 38 weeks and continues until your baby arrives.

During this time, you’ll keep me updated as labor approaches. When you believe you’re in active labor, you or your support person will contact me, and I’ll go to your preferred birth location immediately. As a mother myself, I understand that this can sometimes be early... and that is okay. I would always rather arrive early and wait than risk missing any part of your birth story.

Once I arrive, I document your birth as it unfolds, and as we have discussed, focusing on the people, moments, and emotions present. I work quietly and respectfully within the space, following your preferences and the guidelines of your birth location and care team.

On-call availability means I may be waiting, adjusting plans, or arriving at unpredictable hours. That flexibility is what ensures I’m present when your baby makes their entrance.

Is this a therapy session?

These sessions incorporate compassionate support and reflective guidance to help you show up authentically. They are creative and empowering, not clinical mental-health advice or therapy.

Say hello. Let's work together.
